PT Bank QNB Indonesia Tbk opens new office in central area of Jakarta

Jakarta, 23 September 2019 – QNB Group, the largest financial institution in the Middle East and Africa, announced the opening of its new headquarters on the 8th floor of the Revenue Tower, located in Senayan, Jakarta. The grand opening ceremony was attended by Abdulla Mubarak Al-Khalifa, QNB’s Acting Group CEO, who then received a tour of the new premises.

The relocation of the Bank’s head office to the central area of Jakarta is in line with QNB’s ongoing plan to strengthen its positioning in the Indonesian banking sector, as well as part of the Bank’s plans to expand relations with customers and partners.

Stewart Hall, the CEO of PT Bank QNB Indonesia Tbk, explains: "The Head Office move is a part of our plans to boost our position in the Indonesian financial markets. We are optimistic about the outlook for Indonesia and see significant opportunities here, which we intend to participate in as we strengthen our presence in this market.”

Commenting on the relocation, Mr. Al-Khalifa said:  "Through our global network, our presence in Indonesia will be utilized as a catalyst to stimulate and develop “East-West” flows of trade between Indonesia and the Middle East and Africa by extending intermediary services and entrepreneurial opportunities in the field of investment and trade through our corporate banking solutions.”

Last August, PT Bank QNB Indonesia Tbk successfully achieved an idAAA rating from the PT Indonesian Securities Rating Agency (PEFINDO). The idAAA rating is the highest rank provided by PEFINDO by reviewing the Bank’s capabilities and performance in building strong commitment for its long-term economic growth. PT Bank QNB Indonesia Tbk obtained the idAAA rating with the support and commitment of the QNB Group.

QNB Group currently operates in more than 31 countries and across 3 continents.
